vinegar in water

hi new to chickens
i just read an article ,where they said they add apple cider vinegar to the water.it didn't explain why , is this an everyone knows that except me? could some one help me. and should i do it also.

for some reason if you add it it seems to keep the feather plucking to a minimum.. It wont hurt them so i do it and its worked so far...

Type ACV in the google search window for many thougts. If you decide to use it do not use metal waterers. It will keep algea from forming in water dishes.

ACV is an acidifier which helps in calcium absorption and lowers gut PH...which helps with gut bacterial issues.

I have always put 1tbl to a gallon of water since I have had chcikens,they have no worms and are very healthy.Make sure you use the acv with the mother in it,I buy mine at amazon.com a gallon of braggs acv is 15.00 and .99 cents shipping.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Vinegar should not be used internally with animals that have an irritated lining of the intestinal tract.
Add 1/8-1/4 of a teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar to every 4 fl ozs of water, or 1/8-1/4 cup per gallon of water.

It may not be for worm pervention but it works for me

It shouldn't make them sick, but due to acidity it will cause corrosion.​
