vines that chickens won't eat?

I have had good luck with "deer resistant" plants. Ask at your nursery. Make sure they aren't poisonous. My experience is that young chickens <6 months nibble on just about anything, including the deer resistant plants, but then they figure out what tastes good and what doesn't.

I would plant what you like and just fence off the bottom of the plant, until it grows bigger. I have virginia creeper and trumpet flower(that are climbing on the fence and mature) and they really don't bother them. I planted beans too close to them last year- they ate all the bottom leaves, but it didn't really hurt the plant. Good luck!

BUT if they are fed virginia creeper is it toxic?? My Hubby wants to feed it to them, to get rid of it.
