I'm in agreement with some of the others. Use these older jars for storing dry goods.
As 3rd generation, you're responsible to keep them safe for the 4th generation.
Each time they are used in a pressure canner, they weaken. And that isn't even taking into account weakening by them bumping around.
They work wonderful for dry storage, and that keeps you and the jars safe.
