Smyth county I know.... We been to marion a time or two. That's no too far away. I drive to Wytheville to work 5 days a week.

My husband used to work in Wytheville but is working in Radford now -- and yeah, the commute is absolutely crazy.

The drive is better for me now. I was driving to Winston Salem 4 days a week. I did that for 3 1/2 yrs. Gas & time on road was killing me. Took pay cut and went to work @WCCH.

Hi there! I'm outside of Richmond, in a county that isn't chicken friendly. We're almost done building our coop. Its based on a Williamsburg garden shed, four even sided with a roof that slopes up on four sides as well. We're trying to blend it into the yard. The girls will have a fenced in run concealed by our deck and shrubbery. Now, we have 1 RIR, 1 silkie, 1 bantam game bird, four white leghorn pullets and one white leghorn rooster. We have to find a new home for the rooster and its killing me because we hatched him ourselves! I feel like his mama, but there is no way we can pull this off with him crowing. He's already started trying to crow, he's not very good but he's trying. Does anyone want a rooster? I can throw in a leghorn hen to keep him company.
