VIRGINIA---- looking to buy hens in VIRGINIA

Hello !!

I live near Petersburg Va. I just built my son a chicken coop and I'm looking for some laying hens. I'd prefer to find hens that are closer to "full grown" versus "chicks".

Anyone here in Virginia (within reasonable drving distance of Petersburg) that has hens they want to sell?

What breeds are you looking for? I have some top hat RIR cross that should be good egg layers. Might be able to sell 1 RIR and 1 white egg layer hen.

Sorry all I have is chicks but a bunch of us are getting together for a meet / swap. 9 AM at Gray Auction Co on Rt 40 in Sussex County, VA, near zip code 23890. Maybe someone there will have some.
