prayer warriors (following Jesus Christ, everyone welcome)

I'm sorry you're going through this; we've been through similar experiences three times. It is never easy to watch a parent transition.
I pray that as Jesus calls your mom Home, He provides you and your loved ones with the courage, strength, comfort and hope to help each other through. Her body may be shutting down but her soul is preparing to be released into the Heavenly realms to live with the Lord. May God bless you and yours.

He himself is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17
Thank you

Confession time. I .... ordered 15 chicks and got them around the first of July. But I actually received 21. So they're a little over a month old now. Soon they will transition themselves from the brooder into the hen house, which properly and comfortably houses 20 - 24. I have 20 adult birds in there now. Do you see what's wrong with this picture? I know, what was I thinking?!? :barnie I have decided to re-home all of my blue-egg laying adult hens so I'll know any blue eggs I get next spring will be from my Ameraucanas - yes, the real deal, not Eggers. As near as I can figure, that is about 12 to 15 laying hens, one to two years old. I prayed about it and ...

The Lord is good, of course He is! As I was having a few cavities filled today, the dental tech told me she'd lost about 17 of her chickens to a raccoon, expensive birds! She has no luck with chicks, she said, and had spent $75 each on a couple of some kind of POL Brahmas :)eek:) as an example, and has only one of those left. I asked if she'd be interested in some of my adult hens and ...

SHE SAID YES! :celebrate:wee

I do want to go and check out her situation to make sure it is now raccoon-proof first, but, hey! I'm excited! Thank You, Lord, I REALLY didn't want to put any of these sweet girlies in the freezer!
