Sorry for your loss

I had one come in like that and it was upsetting. My first time ordering and I was hoping the entire time they would arrive alive since I had never ordered before.Ideal Poultry did well....only 1 in 30 and it was when Virginia temps were below 0. Good Luck if you get them to resend your order!

Sorry to hear that Karen. Hopefully, they will send you replacements. The waether has been brutal this winter and they should have included some heat packs.

yup. got to keep my discount, and they're scheduled for the week before Gilmanor, so i'll be able to turn the ones I don't want around easily enough.

thanks for all the comments... it wasn't like I waited a horribly long time, I just ordered them on a whim Friday when I saw they had a one day only sale. LOL but still slightly disappointing not to get them 'right'.

on the flip side tho, I really don't have room in the brooders right now for another 25 (plus the 5-6 due to hatch on Thursday - think 1 is a quitter but not sure 100%)

So excited that my girls are finally getting comfortable at their new home been getting one egg most days from five hens and came home today to three eggs! Been trying real hard to do right by them and I guess it is working. Be safe in the snow everyone!

How long did it take yours to start laying again? I moved the chickens sometime around December 22nd, and had a few eggs (1 or 2 a day) for almost a week, and then it all stopped. I haven't had an egg for at least a month, now.

5 easter eggers....eating me out of house and home!!
