I think it's mixed with a Jersey Red, making it a "production red", which is a hybrid of the RIR. Something like that....

I went this afternoon! Oh my!! I did good! Only got 6 this trip. Lol. 1 each Delaware, Light Brahma, spotted Sussex, partridge rock, gold-laced Cochin and a Barnevelder. They're precious!

I love partridge rocks. I have others, but the barred rocks and partridges are my sweeties. They lay all winter.

I have 3 blue rocks and one barred rock already. I agree! They lay great thru the winter and are very easy going. One of my blues went broody last year but I didn't have a rooster then. I sure hope she decides to do it again. I'm ready now!

I have silver pencilled rocks and love them! would love some partridges...so many chickens, so little time.

I keep telling him that THIS dog cannot be trusted and can never go out without supervision.  but he keeps letting him out.

I am tired of losing good chickens.

Hi everyone!!

We will be having a chicken swap at the Dinwiddie Tractor Supply on Sunday March 16th from 1-4. Nothing larger than a goat. All animals must have food, water, and adequate shelter.

Hope to see a lot of people there!!
