Looking forward to the swap this weekend. Sure is going to be a hot one but lot's of good stuff will be at the swap. We will also be bringing about 11 or so adult guineas and asking $5.00 each.

we will be at the swap for an hour or so but wont really set up. if anyone needs a black australorp cockerel, 3 week old easter eggers , or san juan cross young rabbits let us know and we will bring them. we will bring mushrooms if they fruit in time .

Would anyone like to split an order of assorted pullets from MPC? They are having a special, 25 standard heavy breed pullets for $47.50 with free shipping. This seems like a pretty good deal to me but I don't need 25, I'm only looking to keep 10-12. I live in the Shenandoah Valley so I'd be willing to split an order with anyone here or in northern VA. PM me if you're interested!

Next poultry swap will be On August 14th at the TSC in Powhatan, VA. All sellers must be pre approved to guarantte buyers are buying healthy birds and if a problem comes up they can contact the seller. Hope to see everyone at the next swap.

We're here from Warren County Va. Grew up in Fairfax but spent every minute as a kid on the family farm outside Leesburg. We've gone full circle on animals. Chickens to cattle to horses and pigs. Had a few goats along the way but got tired of chasing them around the county. Now were back to chickens. They're a lot easier to catch when they get out. Got 12 Rhode Island Red's and have another half dozen Plymouth Rock's and half dozen Black Australorp's on the way. I think I'm gonna need a bigger coop.

Interesting what you said about goats. We got chickens first, and now my DH has 3 goats on order--Nubians. A buck a doe and a doeling. Supposed to get them in 3 weeks. I guess he will be chasing some goats around the country side soon.
