Virginia

same thing here on the road I live on. it's a primary bicycle route for training and races. especially for tech students... and one of these days that 20 wide pack is going to go around a blind corner and get flattened.

This is awful a big grin came across my face when you said 'get flattened'

A few bikers are on my road, but it's the deer you have to worry about more than people on my road. I can't tell you how many cars hit deer on this one curve!!, it's crazy!!.

We have the narrowest, windiest roads in this area...There's plenty of bicycle routes in other areas of Charlottesville...they need to use them!

wondering where you live...I'm sorta from the area

edited to add: not looking for you to tell me details...public forum, not good idea, but do you live downtown? or in the county? we live in the next county north and we get the bicyclists, too, taking their lives into their hands, unfortunately.

Nah, not downtown-hate cities. Closer to Scottsville, way out in the country lol.

Have some chicken friends down that way. don't think they are on BYC, though. but just in case...you real name isn't Sheila, is it? LOL

I bet there are a bazillion chicken people in this area and probably most aren't on BYC. it has become so popular to have chickens. There are at least 6 people I know at work and more people wanting to get into it this year.

and every time I drive by one of those wooden children's playsets that people have unused in their backyard because their kids have grown, I think about how easy it would be to covert into a chicken house/run.

I bet so! It's certainly great to have this site to network though. I found a group on FB too. :) Didn't realize there were so many chicken people!

wouldn't they be just PERFECT???!!!??? you could put wire mesh around the bottom of the swingset part for a small run and enclose the fort part for the house. probably be great for 4-6 chickens.

I'm in Virginia--- Augusta County!
Welcome!!!! we will be over your way this coming weekend...going to take the inlaws to Lurray caverns and then to Staunton for lunch. hoping for nice weather!
