I have two roos as of now and they aren't aggressive, but they just kinda look at me like 'get away from me and my hens' so, I don't know if that's the beginning of aggressiveness? or what.

Also, I got some new chicks!!!, yay!!

being friendly and being non-aggressive may be 2 different things. my EE roo is totally non-aggressive to people, but also has no desire to be within 50' of you either. my dorkings and SFH on the other hand, are under foot constantly and frequently having to be nudged aside so I can actually walk somewhere. LOL a couple of them, even the dog has to either jump over or push to get where he's going. LOL

True, they aren't aggressive to me, yet they don't like to be around me. I wish I had a rooster like that. Like 15 out of 17 of my hens are like that though.

Scored some chicks today-rescue chicks. They were dying (flipping out) in the bin so I talked the workers.into letting me taje them home for free. It's good to be a repeat customer sometimes! Every half hour I have been getting them to take at least a few drops of sav-a-chic. Two made the move to the waterer on their own within an hour. one is on the brink of dying and I don't hold much hope for it but the last one still has a chance. I remembered the sign said they are supposed to be Ameticauna

I got a broody!!!!!!!!!!!
My GLW hen (1 yr old) has decided that she is NOT leaving the nest box, even though there aren't any eggs under her.
So I stuck 8 under there last night. Maybe I'll have chicks in a few weeks!!!!
So excited.

ok, well, in an interesting turn of events, it seems I have sold more cockerels than pullets so far on the SFH that are available...

I have 2 blue mille cockerels left and 5 girls! (started out 5 cockerels 6 pullets)

so I am now offering them as singles/pair/trio/quad. if I sell more pullets than cockerels, then the last pullets will be paired with remaining boys.

I will be at Gilmanor in just a month! coming up quick, it's May 5th. I can deliver them if you live north, but would require a deposit on whatever you want...

These girls should start laying by the end of May or so. one younger girl a bit longer, she was a January hatch.

Pullets $50
Cockerels $30
Pairs $75
Trio $100
