Whew....just got home, busy day.

I had to look at a photo I found of my granny. On the back she had written " my eyes are kindly swelled". I loved her so much.
Don't know why her eyes would have been swollen in the picture as she didn't say. I loved my other granny too.....when leaving from visiting her she would pack us sausage biscuits for our trip and we would both cry. I love sausage better than anything else when we butcher, even to this day.
kindly swelled, speak for she is happily tearful. Ever been so rejoiceful that it brought a lump
In your throat and changed your voice and your eyes swelled with happiness nearly tearful? Yes, we think we all have had kindly swelled eyes.
Kindered spirits!

Someone laid their first egg today!! I think it may be the little Phoenix girl. It is a bit smaller than the others and is skinny and pointy. I saw her in the "two seater" with poor Jessica. Later I found a new egg in one of the bucket nests. Don't know how often to expect an egg from her...but its exciting to find a new egg. I say poor Jessica because she is broody again. Which means she may quit laying....lol....pick up a new one and lose another.

Is it true that the Humane Society wants us to stop keeping animals and become vegan?

Yes - some members are true believers but look into there finances and follow the money -
Management gets big share and animal welfare gets little share - PETA same way -
SPCA is reverse and thats good .ORG

I dont know how many eggs they will lay.
I dont know how many eggs will hatch.

various shades of Red
& Blue Laced Red Orpingtons

2. Gold, BBR, Barred, White, Silver Phoenix Bantams

3. Easter Eggers

4. RIR's.

5. Barred Rocks / Dominiques

6. Australorp

7. Calico Cochin Bantams

8. Marans French Black and Copper (1 roo & seriously in need of lady friends)

9. Fly-Ties

10.Ancona Ducks

11.Some Adults of all the above plus OEGB

I do not plan to allow any eggs to hatch till about the first week of March for the first Saturday of March sales. I can not deal with eggs hatching right now bc I have MORE surgery to go through and I hope I will be able to haul myself out to the TSC parkinglots to hawk my wares(chicks). So if you can wait till the first of March that is great. But if not, I understand.
One reason I am not buying any Maran eggs ( that I deparately need is the weather(temp fluctuations) is not in favor of shipping eggs for hatching. Inserting warm packettes will not help only confuse the eggs, lol. This time of the year is worse than the heat of the summer.
Oh, they may package the eggs well and people will leave feedback that the eggs came in time and in good order but what about did they hatch? That feed back is not allowed! I will never order in the heat of the summer nor the cold of winter ever again. I have learned and I left great EXCELLENT feedback on receiving eggs, bc hatched eggs feedback is not known nor allowed. So if any one can NOT wait for the parkinglot flock swap sales at TSC and you want the eggs from online, good luck and more power to you. I have never had luck during the cold of winter nor the heat of the summer. Not wasting my money anylonger.
