Virginia

Wow. I’ve been meeting so many people from Dinwiddie recently. Few years ago I had rarely heard the name. Sounds like a beautiful area :frow

It is. Its a rural SW County thats got a population of 20 something thousand.

Its a hodgepodge of homes but mostly spread out more often than not at an 1/8th of mile, in most cases much more.

I'm glad to be out in the sticks where we mostly do what we want, whether that be shooting guns or raising livestock/ chickens.

Not to far from ya! Welcome to BYC!!!!

New to the area?
no, just new to this forum... we have had chickens for over 10years but still so much to learn, in 2020 my son (8 then) took over chicken duties, in 2021 we hatched batches of our own for the first time, and want to try hatching again!

looking for French or Black Copper Marans or any other dark egg layer... trying to stay local instead of doing big hatcheries..any suggestions?

Hey everyone!

We are in Blue Ridge VA.

We are hatching out a variety of breeds over the next few months. We aren’t a hatchery, just a hobby farm. Let me know if you are looking for something in particular!

We currently have pure silkies, silkie frizzles, polish silkies, Olive eggers, Rose Egger, and australorps.

we are also wanting Black Copper Marans, Cream Legbar or Ameraucanas
