Does anyone happen to know of, or have a roo, they would like to get rid of? I have a friend who is looking for one. She would prefer an australorp or buff orpington.
i have a buff orp x dorking cockerel... and some other dorking (pure i think) cockerels as well... they'll be going to gilmanor with me.

I have a 11-week-old Buff Orp X ? cockerel (hatched from ki4got stock) who needs to belong to someone. He lets my kids walk right up and pick him up at which point he settles right down and falls asleep in their arms. Normally I would just sell or process extra boys, but this guy is special. He's really pretty and he's going to make some farm a wonderful flock watcher! And he'll likely always be super-friendly.

If I bring him to Gilmanor, can someone promise this sweetheart a home? As for the rest of the boys I bring... whatever.

I can't wait! One more week - then home with some of Weeble's babies!

the guy above i'm thinking is a Weeble ('unusual' ee roo) cross chick possibly. i've got 2 orp/dorking cross chicks also, a bit younger also available (plus others i'm bringing with me).

He has light pinkish-gray legs but only 4 toes. Best personality EVER! So ki4got - you think he might be a Weebs son? He's one of those rare cases where there is NO way my family could continue raising him up just to eat him. LOL. Yet, we just don't have room for another rooster right now.

well, this time i was successful with a broody. smee's girl (bantam black laced red wyandotte) is mellow enough she allowed me to relocate her from being broody in the doghouse to inside to a brooder, and the second evening was given a bunch of chicks ranging from 1-3 weeks old. but she wouldn't let the oldest under to get warm and i lost that one today.

she is headed for gilmanor to be used as a heat source for the chicks (not for sale). she has a few dorkings (possible dorking x) and the EE's (and 1 possible blrw). i may keep one or 2 of the weeble babies and possibly the blrw (?) to see what they end up like, but now i won't have to worry about babies getting cold during the (long) trip up next saturday.

I'm also going to draft one (or both) of my cochin broodies for the chicks that are due to hatch thursday/friday this week too, for the same reason. more blrw, some sfh and mille fleur bantam cochins. not all will be for sale, but i do have some already promised, and this will be the best way (for me) to keep them all warm.
