funny thing was, hubby took pics of the 'lake' and then drove into b'burg for gas and a snack. said when he passed paris mountain stable, the pavement was dry in spots and it didn't look like it'd rained at all, tho the river was up a bit. It's been a wet two weeks down here for sure. I'm getting kind of sick of it, but what can you do? Looks like more of the same tomorrow as well... At least the weekend's looking up.
Good grief. I don't think we got anywhere near that amount of rain, but I went to bed, so I don't know. Kinda glad we live on a hill and any flooding occurs in our evil neighbor's fields.
I actually live closer to Pulaski/Wythe, but figured Blacksburg was the closest town many would recognize. The weather difference happens a lot in the NRV; winter time I would have 10" of snow in my drive-way, call in to let work know I was going to be late in Blacksburg, and they would have zero snow. Odd what 20 or 30 miles can do to a weather pattern, but it's common enough. Some rain today mixed with some sunshine at times. The weekend up here looks promising - hopefully no down pours at the swap up here.funny thing was, hubby took pics of the 'lake' and then drove into b'burg for gas and a snack. said when he passed paris mountain stable, the pavement was dry in spots and it didn't look like it'd rained at all, tho the river was up a bit.
