of my 3 mature girls, I'm averaging 12-15 eggs a week, so right now they're laying 4-5 a week between the 3. these are year old girls, not pullets.

as for pricing, $75 for a pair, $100 for a trio.

I had said before, I wouldn't be selling them before Gilmanor, but thanks to a couple kidney stones (missed a lot of work over the last 2 weeks), I may sell them early and you can pick up at Gilmanor (or earlier if you're local and not going to Gilmanor)

you would need to have someone come up to test your flock (every bird over 4 months old)

I have the npip info on my website kmvfarm.com

I plan to bring quite a few cream legbars. Possibly some SFH but orders are backed up for those now. Also some cream legbar and ameraucana based Easter eggers. We will have to see if I have time to get my ameraucanas sorted out (BBS and blue wheaten/wheaten). I may also have some of my own line of "Emerald Eggers."

Question for all the 'swap-ers'

How do you keep purchased chicks comfortable and safe while walking around Gilmanor??? I've had 'bad luck' the 2 times I've gone with getting chick to survive. I almost always loose 1 or 2 within a day or so. I'm planning to pick up a couple of somewhat expensive chicks this year and I want to be prepared to give them the very best chance possible.
Any ideas/tips???

Also, a question for sellers. What would your reaction be if I asked if I could pay you and mark the chicks I wanted - but not pick them up for an hour or so????

Thanks,
Debbie

When I transport I use a cooler with towel over so they can get air and put one or more tape on heat wraps available at Rx - I buy them at Costco -
I put them under a towel and on one end so they can go to or get away from heat. Water is important at this stage .

"Emerald Eggers"? Sounds beautiful. Need to see pics of these eggs!

Wow, "emerald eggers" sound intriguing. I also am very interested in getting a couple of SFH at some point.... I better avoid Gilmanor, or I'll end up getting additional hens before I'm actually ready for them!

I wish I could go to gilamanor, but its just too far away
