Virginia

Hey Ruben welcome to BYC.
Chickens are addictive, I started with only five and small coop. Somehow my flock has grown to over 50 not including the turkeys.
Having said that, if six is the maximum number of chickens you plan to keep, that coop should work as it gives you roughly 5 feet per chicken. Have you thought about how are you going to clean the poop from inside? Are you having a swinging door so you can reach and clean the floor? or are you putting 1/2" hardware cloth as the floor so the poop drops down to the ground? I would attach the nest boxes on the outside so it would be easy to retrieve the eggs once they start laying. Check out the learning section here so you get some ideas about the watering and feeding the chickens. Good luck with your project.

Annabellaknits,
Can you please provide more info? Like where, when, how much or maybe a link ?
Thanks

Have you been certified before?
This will be my first time but figured in the long run its cheaper and easier then having to find and pay someone else to test.
What kind of chickens do you have?

I'll be there

I am down sizing my flocks of Lavender Isabel Cuckoos, Jubilees, Spangled, & Red & lemon Cuckoo English Orpingtons, Ancona ducks & ducklings, Lavender and Black Ameraucana even more than I have already. Also down sizing my internet usage. I appreciate those that got some of my adult chickens through the cold months and I thank TSC for letting me meet up with everyone in their parkinglots during the off season.

Not letting my girls keep their eggs yet. Too cold up here. Still downsizing and looking forward to seeing some of you around the Ridgeway. Roanoke and Rocky Mount areas at the TSCs in April. Not incubating any Chocolate & Calico Cochin Bantam eggs this year. What "they" hatch, "they" hatch and I do plan to give away at the TSCs flock swaps. I Have to carefully and fully write because the C S N's will go nuts if I sound like I am selling on their site. So I went to another site to post my sales during the cold months and I am done till the April TSC swap flocks. Hope to see everyone come April to TSCs in Ridgeway, Roanoke & Rocky Mount.

I am still working on the new and improved Master Plan from last year.
Do you have a Master Plan?
Have you improved on it?

Would you ship I'm all the way in northern Virginia

No shipping, I prefer buyers see my healthy & happy poultry before they buy. Mine are well adjusted chickens. No meanies allowed. If that happens they get eatten. Not breeding meanies. Not breeding sickly chickens. Not breeding mutts, although some mutts are wonderful chickens.

Never been certified, been reading about it because I am thinking about selling fertile eggs. Have a mix of chickens, some trios of RIR, Dominique, American Game, Cubalaya, EE, and a bunch of mutts from the AG. A pair of Royal Palm and a trio of Narraganset turkeys. Roughly about 60 chickens and some eggs in the incubator.
