Virus in coup?

I have had 2 roosters die in the last 6 months. The first one caught a respiratory virus that was introduced by 4 new hens I added to my flock of 6 hens and a rooster. (I now know.... big mistake not quarantining the new ones.) I soon realized the new hens had a virus. My rooster was most severely affected with runny eyes & nostrils and coughing. I took him to a vet and got oral daily antibiotics. He died in less than a week. All the hens were doing well. A friend needed to re-home an extra rooster so I brought home to my hens. He seemed depressed from day one and rarely crowed and wasn't very active. That was in November. Now I find him dead in the chicken house. I'm not sure why he died. I didn't notice any cold symptoms and there were no injuries on him either. Could there be a virus in their house and run that only kills roosters? Are roosters more susceptible to viruses? What is recommended?

Sounds like MG, Mycoplasma Galliseptum, or Cronic Respiratory Disease.
It's caused by a bacteria that's not curable.

Sounds like MG, Mycoplasma Galliseptum, or Cronic Respiratory Disease.
It's caused by a bacteria that's not curable.
