I use a product called Vionate which is a powder that you put in their food. Mine thrive on it.
I give it to all chicks, poults, keets. Anything I hatch out get it for the first few months.

Quote:Really. You have to give quail vitamins?

I thought a "complete" high protein game bird feed was enough for my coturnix. Now I need to find some Flintstones chewables to add to their feed or water.
What vitamins need to be supplemented over a "complete" ration, and what color will it turn their poo?

I only give Vionate to my birds for the first month or two after hatching. Not the adults.
I just like to give them a good head start.
