I was given a list of items to use :
Sulmet
Terramycin
Wormers: Piperazine and Fenbendazole
I having a hard time finding these items, does anyone know or can suggest where to get.
Also,what vitamins and minerals?
Most find them at farm or feed stores, or TSC. For vitamins you can use liquid infant drops from the drug store, without the iron. If yo need to use E, just get the people E. If you want to boost calcium, crush a Tums (not a Rolaids.) You might also be able to buy the first 4 from a vet.
Here are two online sources recommended by some experienced folks on here:
Were you told to use these things routinely? All I gave my chicks was fresh food and clean fresh water.
I worm once a year with albendazole (Valbazen).

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Giving antibiotics in the absence of a bona fide illness is a really bad idea. For starters, terramycin is very limited in what illnesses it's effective for. Also, giving antibiotics when not needed is a great way to make them ineffective in the event that you do need them later on. That's how super bugs are created.
I won't comment on the sulmet. I fed medicated starter and never had a problem with coccidiosis, so I wouldn't know about using the sulmet.
Vitamins and minerals can't do any harm, but the chicks will do just as well on a quality feed.
I worm my flock once a year. Others never worm. I think three times a year would be a little excessive.
Please do a search here on BYC about using the antibiotics. You'll be glad you did later.
