Vocal Duckling- A Drake, or a Hen?

Aloha!
I just got two ducklings yesterday and one seems to talk much more than the other. It's not in distress- knows where the heating pad is and has been eating and drinking all day. Just seems to chirp a lot more! It chirps whenever I enter the room as a greeting, and chirps when playing with the hay or in between sips of water. The other duckling chirps as well, but it is quieter and does it less often. Does this have anything to do with gender, or are some ducklings just louder than others?
They are both about a week old.

I had figured it wasn't a telltale sign of gender, and now I know it's not.
Just a noisy duckling
