Hi, I was wondering if you all had ever had experiance with a vomiting chicken. She is a black star (or black sex link). She is approx 5 years old. I picked her up this morning, and she vomited a thick liquid (lt brown/ tan). Shes 'hunched' over and dosnt want too move around alot. She seems too want too drink, but, when she puts her head down it comes back up. She hurt her right leg a few weeks ago, (not sure how), but was doing ok just kinda limping around the yard. Now she just sits hunkerd down.

Im not sure what to do!

Thanks for any advice.

Five years is getting up there for a chicken. Could she have a blocked crop? Keep her warm and monitor her VERY closely. Make sure she gets liquids, if she keeps throwing up, then massage her crop to see if there is anything blocking it. If there is, keep massaging it to break it up. Don't let her get dehydrated! Also, put electrolytes in her water (gatorade).
Hope she gets better!
