Vomiting?

When I picked up one of my Quails, he was “drooling” and making weird sounds. I help him angled down and he threw up some water. There was no way he could have drowned, and the rest of his body wasn’t wet. Could he maybe have just choked?

I think he might have just drank too much and possibly aspired a bit. Although I'm not an expert, just wanted to bump so the calvary could arrive.

Yes he’s still alive. I put him in a smaller pen and he seems to be walking fine. I was just worried because he was making some gurgling sounds, and spit up quite a bit of water.

Sorry, it sounded like you might have lost him. Glad he's doing better. I think he just drank too much, but I've never raised quail. I wish I knew who the quail experts on here are. I'll just go with my go to @casportpony


Edit: Hopefully I don't scare her with my references to her all the time in posts. I just find her knowledge impressive
