Just talked to my neice in Carlisle and she said the rain is so heavy right now she can't see 50 ft in front of her. Those poor people. So much water and nowhere for it to go.

They just delayed the opening of school here until Monday due to unsafe conditions with this additional rain.

All this rainfall is just unreal. I'm grateful that my house is halfway down a hill (too short to call it a mountain) and won't flood. I'm thinking of all of you who are facing even more damage.

Still raining hard here too. At least my new roof is holding up *so far*.

JUST got internet back. Gawd, Verizon S&C*S. Survived with minor roof damage and major trees down. Firewood for next winter and beyond, but a LOT of work.

All this rain makes chicken coops a mess!! Going to make some changes in coops to allow for better drainage and putting a new floor in one as well!! Need dry weather...run is smelly...using DE to help dry stuff out!!
