Solved VOTE - Merge My Chickens & Member Pages

This is something I've been thinking about doing for ages. There isn't really a super clear distinction between these two sections:

Member Pages
My Chickens

So, I'm thinking for easier navigation and clarity, we should combine them.

Please vote and then reply with your thoughts on WHY we should/shouldn't combine them.

Also, IF we combine them, what should we call the combined section?

I think you should. Less sections is simpler for newbies, of which we have many, plus agree that there's little distinction. Calling the combined pages just "Member Pages" would make sense to me.

Maybe a multi link glossary within the two existing after combined??

I agree, and want to add that I'm lost here. 'My Chickens"??? Where is that , anyway.

It would seem I'm the only one who thinks they should be kept separate. I voted last night, but let me take a moment to explain why I think they should be kept separated. I was under the impression that there was actually a fairly clear distinction between the two, that being that My Chickens pages were for pictures and stories about your chickens (and other poultry), specifically your actual, living, breathing, existing birds that live in your actual back yard, but also the 'I love this breed' types of non-informative, celebratory pages, whereas Member Pages were for more general things about chickens and a catch-all for pages that don't really fit under any of the current categories, such as pages about particular interests, role plays, swaps, etc. I think it's so nice to be able to click over to the My Chickens section and read about people's flocks and how they dote on them or why they like this type of chicken versus others. If the sections end up combined, then in order to do so, one would have to look through all the informative articles, all the role play pages, all the art pages, all the 'test articles', all the other pets pages, all the random 'my BYC friends' articles, just to find the pages that were previously separated out in the My Chickens section. I don't think that's easier or better, honestly.

That being said, I'm not going to revolt or anything if they're combined, since that's where the popular vote is going. I just disagree with the idea.

Just had a thought, but it might require lots of work. You could leave it as is and manually move chicken articles from member pages to my chickens.
