I did.

And found none of the information you cite, which I noticed by the way is unsupported by any attribution other than a very general link at the very bottom.

Try the USDA for starters....they have the ENTIRE proposition and then you can try the federal government's site...you know the ones voting on it...

I charge $ 250.00 an hour but as I am retired...$150.00/hr for legal research. If you would like for me to gather the information for you, I will give you my contact information for payment. I will require three hours paid for in advance.

Or you can research it yourself....thoroughly. If you want the facts go find them. It is no harder than getting through these forms.

I took issue with your constant replies of not being satisfied with any of the responses...the "show me" attitude. If you hate the NAIS posts...do not get involved...very simple. If you doubt or do not agree, post YOUR PROOF of your position.

I am done with it...the NAIS is crap, our government is crap and if you want to jump through their hoops or cannot see the future issues coming from this NAIS stuff....sit it out and wait for the storm.

Thanks but I’ll pass on that offer. I don't need you do to legal research for me because I work in law and I can do it myself. And as you know, since you have expertise in the field, an argument without attribution has no merit.

As others here have keenly noted, I have not stated an opinion on the value of NAIS. (I won't waste your time by asking you to point to the post where I declared that I think NAIS is a "fantastic idea.") I simply ask those who make certain statements to show me the exact text of the proposal that supports those statements. That's how thinking people can make a reasonable decision. And as others here are quick to note, asking for substantiated facts and not personal, unsubstantiated fears is not the same as being a supporter of a proposal. Though it is tiring, I've been making these same requests for for substantiation on various forums where these alarms are sounded for how long now? Perhaps 4 years or more?

Now, I realize you are busy but is it a really waste of time to simply provide some actual documentation (i.e. the text of the proposal) to support a claim that is being made? That is hardly the same as asking you "to educate me." I am educating myself, thank you, and looking for facts is the only way anyone should try to educate themselves.

I could have saved myself a lot of typing and just said I agree with SewingDiva.

By the way, I'm glad we can have this debate here. The owner of the No-nais will not let a comment in praise of NAIS on his website go by without rude remarks.

Sigh... Happens every time documentation is insisted upon.

I guess I'm done too. Someone please PM me if any actual documentation is presented .

I tried, signed in atleast, please keep us abreast of these issues. I so wanted to vote, unfortunately I am about 13/14 hours to late.
I hate to see NAIS come into our lives, it is not reasonable. Of course the gov claims that is to keep track, but like many "self-employed" people (how I see small farm life), they must pay a tax on (for example- my dad was a carpenter) table saw, tools, and so on. I just feel it is what will turn out. Gesh, we can't deal with gangs, war, illegal aliens and so on, how can someone keep track of our critters.
I only have a few birds and paying a tax on them will put a lot of lower income folks out of the small flock/goat/cow/horse owners.
We have so many issues at hand, we do not need this.
Unfortunately people are so hostel about this subject that I've heard of throwing dung at a Veterinarian talking about the program. That is sad, as it was not this was a speaker, not as a law maker.
Whether we like this or not, I hope that the angry mob can be tamed when this law is looked over.

Way off topic folks..the OP simply asked for a vote. Since the voting period has ended, I will close this thread.
