Voter ID Law - Texas

In Georgia you only had to walk in, say your name an they found that name on a list an marked it out. Then you voted.
I've always had a voter card and use it when I vote - didn't know there was a way otherwise

As for the Federal ID Card.... That falls under weather you say the statement "The united states is" or "The united states are". Do you believe you belong to a state that is part of a union or a country divided in to states.

For years that is all I had to do. Just sign by my printed name. Then the courts declared Washington's electoral process unconstitutional (We had open primaries and could vote across party lines) At that time we had to start declaring a party and showing ID. More lawsuits and now we have a top 2 system with most of the state going to mail in ballots. Now I wonder what is stopping people from stealing ballots out of other's mailboxes and voting often. Just the signature I guess.

Imp- misses going to the polls

I can't remember what I had to show. I was wearing my raincoat and I can't remember much after that. It was a month ago after all.

Weird... I would think that forcing people to choose a single party out of only two, and thus a single candidate, would be the unconstitutional thing... not the other way around.

Choosing a party is usually only required to vote in that parties primary election.

As for another question that was asked. I consider my state to be part of a Union of states known as The United States of America. That's why America is strong.

I guess I am lucky to live in Montana....

When I go to the polls during the primary's or any election....I show my DL then I get 2 ballots...one Dem..the other Rep...they also have the independents and what not on them............we get to vote for whom ever we want....that is the way it should be!

We do NOT have to chose a party!
