VULTURES?

We have vultures and buzzards here. One or two have actually dive bombed the ducks and geese but they have never landed. I think I would probably have a stroke if I looked out my window and saw that many vultures handing around my birds.
Wow, the vultures around here don´t ever do anything towards my birds. Well, not unless they´ve been dead a few days!

Seriously, though, they stay well away, only looking for carrion. I always make sure there´s nothing around here to attract them.

@Carrosaur , I doubt if they´d do anything to the goose, but as Pear´s a sitting duck, I´d not want to risk it. A bit unnerving.

Very scary. ): My pit usually guards the house from people to deer to coyotes to vultures, but she wasn't outside at the time, I guess it could've been bad.

We have 2 or 3 vultures fly in every day to get a drink . The chickens and geese don't really like it, neither do I , but they never bother anyone.

I let the dog out to chase them off daily so maybe the get the idea to keep away! I would not want them drinking my birds water's. You have NO idea what diseases they carry!?

Yes, it can get like that here...sometimes must be 200 circling around when a cow has died in a field, for example. After a few days, just a rack of ribs.. Quite impressive. No-one here views them as a threat to the poultry, though. Just the carcará hawks. And I´ve never heard anyone say about them passing on disease either....
