Hey all. We got some baby chicks from the feed store and I was thinking about vaccinating them. What should I purchase and any info would be great. My husband purchased some adult chickens last year and I'm pretty sure they brought something with them, most of them have died, some respiratory issues, others neurologic issues with like a droopy wing, stumbling, black spots on them etc. I remove about 6 inch of soil, disinfectant and replaced everything I possibly feel like I could at this point. Any help would be appreciated. The babies are separate for a month or so for now until I can get some help on what to do to try and make them healthy and immune system good for whatever may have been brought into the coop and yard. Thank you

I'm not an authority on different vaccinations,, but believe some of those need to administered day one,,, or even in the egg before hatching. (Mareks)
Your feed store chicks maybe already received those.:idunno
The thing now of some concern is coccidiosis. Chicks usually try to develop their own resistance to it,,,,,, but not always. Medicated feed is a better alternative VS treating cocci.
Get a small quantity of medicated crumbles feed. When that feed is finished,, chicks should be resistant at that point.
Respiratory illness are common among chickens. Some of that may arrive on the wind. :old
Lets see what others suggest.

WISHING YOU BEST WITH YOUR NEW CHICKS,,,,,:hugs
