This bantam rooster got in a fight and his waddle is detatched from his beak. Vets are closed. Can I put new skin on, or is there anything I can do? Its still bleeding a bit so I'm putting corn starch on. Any advice please.

You'll want to thoroughly clean the whole head, comb and wattle first off. Warm water and Vetricyn are ideal. Remove all the blood you can You can use super glue to reattach the wattle. After the wattle is reattached, apply non-pain-medicated Neosporin to all cuts, and be sure to check the rest of his body for any wounds or cuts. Given the amount of laceration, I would recommend Terramycin in his water for the next day or two to help him back on his feet and to ensure nothing becomes infected. At the very least add some Sav-A-Chick electrolytes to his water; or Gatorade, if you have no SAC on hand.
