Gator is right nothing else is needed. Start out with a cord for power supply. Run the black or ribbed wire to the black on most thermostats. Then run another wire from the red from most thermostats to the center of the bulb socket. I like to use the keyless ceramic ones they take the heat very well. Tie all neutral wires together including the one on themostat (white wires). If your going to have a 110 volt fan make sure you tie it in to the power (black wire) before the thermostat, so that it runs all the time. I highly recommend an electronic thermostat much easier to work with and I think they are more accurate than the manual wafer style.
