WAITING FOR THEM TO COME OUT OF THE SHELL!

had two hatch this morning. got 3 more to go. dont know why its taking so long for the others. my 1st time. how long of a process is this usually?

Usually when I hatch...1 hatches and then it calls all the others out...but I have had them hatch all over 3 days...talk about late bloomers!!

I'm hatching today too, and I very much feel the same way as you do! I discovered the first pip this morning at 7am, and apparently the chick took a 6 hour nap afterwards, because it just started zipping at 1:30pm. It's completely normal, but still nervewracking for me. I think once you have one out and peeping like crazy, the others get more serious about hatching.

The hatch process can take 24 or more hours. Being born without a parent doing half the work must be exhausting!

What the heck!! Mine are slacking.....I think I may have to go by the incubator and whisper sweet nothings and motivate the babies!!

might be a good IDEA! my grandson is 12 and he has been right there since he got home from school cheering them on! its hularious...LOL..

Knowing my luck they will all hatch tonight while we are sleeping and I'm going to miss out on the whole thing. That would be a first time EVER! I love watching them hatch....this is a stubborn batch..haha. They are probably in their shells laughing at me chirping...hey the lady is back in here, stay in and don't make a sound!

I have hatched a few batches and I have seen zipping and poping out but not an actual piping happening

I think they know I'm trying to catch them and wait till I walk away to pip

How fun is this!!!!

When I left for work this morning I THOUGHT I saw a pip on 2 eggs. I don't know how I made myself go to work...but I've got 3 definite pips now! It's all I can do to stay away from the bator...I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight! Keep those chickie pix and encouragement coming, I will probably be up all night

It is 11:30pm here and I just got my first pip....I waited ALLLLL DAYYYY and now right before bed time they decide to hatch...Now how am I going to sleep SERIOUSLY!

Well better late than never!!! I'm so excited I can't wait to see them....I love babies..even if they are chickens!!!
