Waiting impatiently for my babies...

If I was aloud to have a drake I would breed. They are so cute? :)

I got straight run so I'm not sure what I have (I could try vent sexing them, but I'm not practiced at it so I'm just going to wait until they're older to find out), but if I end up with drakes and hens of my Campbells, I'm thinking about breeding them. :)

Are going to incubate duck eggs? Because you said that you will breed them.

Khaki campbells are horrible mothers. Only some may hatch if even any. If some may hatch you will need to take them away from their mother. So the incubator is the best choice.

Considering that I'm not interested in raising many (they would just be to augment my own duck flock) nor do I want to go into the expense of an incubator, I doubt that I'd be going that route. If that's the only option, I'll just buy a few more Campbell ducklings and call it a day.

When you buy ducklings you need to pay for the ducklings, fees, and shipping. If you bought an incubator for $150, you could incubate how much you want for free.

If I buy them locally, I'm not paying for shipping and I'm certainly not buying $150 worth of ducks. I want a small back yard flock to get a few eggs from and keep the slugs under control. That $150 is an unnecessary expense.

When you buy an incubator you don't throw it away after one use, instead you use it forever.
