I have a lot of boxes as well. My girls use only a few. They swith from nest to nest each day. I have two broodys squeezed into the most popular nest right now. They take turns going for food.

And I still find the occasional egg in the horses hay rack.

Yep, I have 12 hens and 6 nest boxes and I still get lineups...eyeroll

I have 2 boxes for 3 hens. They used 1 for awhile, they now have decided to use cardboard boxes. 1 each in different locations. My they've trained me good.

Your birds look so healthy and Pretty!! Don't know why hens always do that- YOu could have 200 places for them to lay and they always pick out two or three favorites, even if all the nests are identical!! LOL

LOL, Mine have 2 nest boxes but only use one. It doesn't matter if one is already in it, they just push her to the side and hop in too!
