Waiting list for hatching eggs...

We have the same problem with keeping a list. I accept a $25 deposits for adults, chicks, ducklings and some orders of eggs. Those people get their orders filled first then I move on to the rest. It is very time consuming emailing down the list then waiting for replies. I end up selling locally and putting eggs in the incubator when I could be filling other orders.

Not bad for my first post??? Sorry...lol

haha, thanks Katy. I kept telling Jerry I needed my own screen name and I just had to do it myself. Now I can post!!!!

By the way, I loved the pictures of your cows. When we move again we will have more land and some cows. The neighbors don't seem to mind all these animals because we keep everything tidy and we manage to sneak a pig in every winter to fatten up without anyone noticing.

I agree its a hassle to e-mail people who never respond back. I tried to keep a list for eggs and birds but after a certain period of time goes by, I delete. I started just telling people to e-mail me back in spring and fall if they are still interested then.

I would love to get some buff or white eggs from you, but it's waaaaayyyyyy too cold to get shipped eggs here. That's why I was asking if you would be posting any for sale here in the forum when you have some available.

With quality stock like you have, and as great a person as you are, it would be such a loss to not have you selling here too.​

I am not a seller, not a real big buyer either, but I completely understand why you would not want to keep a list. If I want eggs on a certain date, I would be willing to prepay so that who I am buying from would not have to worry about payment. I have even emailed the person a couple of weeks before to remind them and make sure that it was still on.

Jean~ I think that's probably a good plan. That's what I plan to do, just list them if I have them since I really don't sell much.

ugh, don't blame you. I see it happen so frequently that I also decided not to do lists, with 6 kids I don't need more time consuming work. I will just post here when I eventually start selling them....
