Waiting on line for the new "good nest box"

I recycle, reuse, re-purpose Just about everything I can. I save feed bags to dispose of shavings when I tend nest boxes. (Makes excellent burn pile starter)

THIS has been going on for the past few days.....




Top to bottom...Daphne, Chrissy and Roxie. And they do wait!







There have been 3 eggs in that bag the last few days!

You've come on a good idea. Instead of folks going through the trouble of hammering the perfect nest box in the perfect location, you can sell "Nesting Bags". Just plop 'em where ever you want and let the hens have at it!

Oh man. I love my girls. Some of the other girls are plopping their eggs in there, too, now. I found FIVE in there today! Even when I move the bag, I have 10 nest boxes, they still find it. I don't know about you, but I think chickens, mine especially (just a little favoritism LOL), are smarter than anyone gives them credit for. Birdbrain my hiney!!!!
