Relax, it's normal Chicks will often make that first hole, then spend the next 12-24 hours resting and absorbing the yolk. Hatching is a LOT of effort!

There is another pip right by the first pip, progress! Yeah!

I hatched chickens in a incubator years ago. I don't ever remember it being this nerve racking.1 pipped this morning And chirped. I came home from work to find nothing has happened. Today was day 21. When should they start hatching?

One just hatched perfectly. My pipped one has pipped more.

It's amazing - some will take forever to hatch, others will pip that tiny hole and then a few minutes later they're out of the egg!

One has just hatched, the pipped one has a bigger hole.

No, not even pipped. The one was chirping earlier is now silent. They were all very alive day 18 when candled.

You could try water-candling the last two, if you're SURE there are no external pips or cracks in the shell.
