Waiting to be a mother of 3

Hello from the Wasatch Front. We are expecting 3 young layers, arriving next Saturday to their newly built (and pretty sweet) coop.
I am a mother of two young boys. My oldest just turned 3 and youngest will be 2 in a couple of months. We are excited to have our own
chickens and are keeping our fingers crossed that it will be a positive experience for our family. I have never been a bird person, I've been
known to lock myself in a bathroom when my friends parakeet was on the loose. However the more I've been looking into to chickens
the more I'm warming up to them. The beady eyes, the beaks, the flapping wings, the creepy feet, well hopefully over time they won't be
a problem for me anymore. I'm so glad to have a place to go to ask questions and find helpful answers as I'm sure we will have numerous.
