Wake up and smell the coffee, you lazy things!

I've seen pictures of their house! I wouldn't be in a hurry to leave either!

Joe! Talk about pampered women! You really must whip those girls into shape! No more comfy quarters for them - no more treats - hard labor - that should do it! My girls get by on table scraps and weeds - they must get up and forage for their food! They get a cold tree to roost in - so that before the sun comes up they are ready to get up and lay those eggs (not that I have seen an egg mind you!).
Really now - those girls look like they are spoiled silly! Good job on your coop!

I must go out to put out the treats for my girls and polish their toe nails and set out their lavender scented dust baths ... errrr... oops ! I meant to say - make those lazy 2 legged feathered squawkers earn their evening ration of 1/4 cup of mush. Time to round up the insects and dig out the weeds in the garden - hard labor for my girls! Yep... I am tough of my girls!

Wow, our chickens don't like to sleep in at all. Well, the adult hens anyway. Half of them have laid their eggs well before 8 in the morning. They're always squalking like crazy, before it is really even daylight. The six week old chicks seem to sleep most of the day but that's probably normal for babies right?
