wings spread wide, he hovered in one place like a hawk, riding an air current. once above the rabbit, he folded in his wings and dropped on top of it. he slammed down, crushing it's skull, making it a fast, painless and merciful kill.

Guard laughed heartily. "well, maybe i could teach you some of the tricks" he suggested.

Sky smiled. She noticed that the forest had become very still, with no wind. "Wait here," she said, spreading her wings, and rising up into the sky. Once she was above the forest, she let out a breath of air, and the wind returned, rocking the tops of trees this way and that. A gently breeze was sent through the forest. She dropped to the ground. "I'm back," she declared simply, washing her paw with her eyes closed.
