Hila hopped out of Falto's truck and jumped into the man's truck and smiled looking at Sorren then saw the lock and broke it off. Falto opened the cage door and hopped into his truck and Hila followed him

Meanwhile, in the forest a little way from the area of her last encounter with clyde, Ice is walking between the trees, pondering over his reaction to the poem she had recited. was it a mistake to tell him that? she wondered to herself, my most personal memory? Would it have any affect on his feelings? she didn't know. she just kept walking, away from the stream and the ledge, away from the packlands.
