Terra looked at the little wolf at her feet. "I'll raise her" she said smiling.

Shakira lingered at the edge of the river. Suddenly, the water blocking her path rose up to form a wall structure to the other end. She walked across the dry river bottom until she reached the other side.

Terra looked at the little wolf at her feet.  "I'll raise her" she said smiling.

The pup looked up. Her brown eyes looked into Terra's. Then she smiled. "Auha," she said quietly. She pawed at Terra's big paw.
