You've always got the others watching your back. You feel safe, and secure" she said. "Wolves are pack animals. We aren't built to be loners"

"Well, when I was born, my parents abandoned me because I was smaller and weaker than the other pups..." he said, sadly

A growl rose in her throat, but she fought it down. "That's stupid" she said instead. "Come on" she said. Midnight and Sam were both wagging their tails, following their mother. "Mom hates when wolves abandon their pups" Midnight whispered. "Our pack used to have mean alphas that hated pups, and they took mom's pups whenever she had them. But those alphas died, and the new alphas gave me and him back to mom. We only spent a day or 2 in the cave" she said. "So mom can't imagine why anyone would WANT their pups taken or gone"
