I think the "soaking up the sun" is a good theory too. I know I feel like spreading my wings on those rare occasions when the sun comes out!

LOL Don't we all, Im so sick of cold and rain and sure my chickens are too. I think that chickens are soooo hot blooded that even a small weather change would make them feel hot once they have acclimated to the cooler temps. My dogs are like that when they have spent all day out in the cold and then come in at night to the heated house they pant like crazy cause there used to the cold/.
