Hi Guys,
We have a 2 6 day old Faverolle chicks one of which is perfectly normal and who is having considerable problems walking.
As long as she is near food and water she eats and drinks plenty, its the getting there that's the problem.
She continually falls over after a couple of steps and just struggles to get up, sometimes she lays there chirping till you come to her rescue or just decides to fall asleep. She is quite messy as she has fallen over in some poop, but still cute
It seems that one of her legs is normal and functionality is normal.
But the other leg she seems to keep curled up and doesnt stretch it out, it also looks to me like her toes on that foot are curled over and not as long as the other foot... (my description could be pants, i might need to re-post with a description by mike)
We had her on the carpet yesterday and she waddled and ran quickly but somewhat unsteadily from the spare room to our bedroom which was about 8 feet. But then when she stopped she was just so unsteady and fell over again
Everything else seems to be normal, chirping eatching, drinking, sleeping, but walking and getting up is so hard for her.
Its breaking my heart as she is really cute, but I just hate to see her struggle the way she does :'''(
We have been considering tying her legs together as she is still so young, it might sort itself.
Can anyone offer any advice? I really dont want to have to put her down
I can post pictures if need be or even a video.
