Thank God!!I have missed that department.Tired of paying outrageous prices at JO-anns fabric.
P.S.I make uniforms and costumes for civil war reactors, ect. Also make custom camo hunting attire.
Do you have a scrub top pattern that you would like to share? I don't get a long with store bought patterns. They just dont like me lol
. I mainly make rag purses, rag quilts (for new babies coming to the family) kid pillows, market bags and now recycling feed bags. Been wanting to make scrub tops for a while. But can't find a pattern that I can do. lol Started sewing in 2006 after I had my son. Burnt my self out making rag purses. So I stopped sewing for a while. Picked it back up when I got laid off last month. I am so happy I had my chickens during this time. They have actually been therapeutic for me.
When our Walmart started taking away the fabric dept there was a huge uproar. I dont think any one has seen so many angry grannies in their life time. They were told that they President of Walmart was trying to make it more like Target. All the ladies, in our very rural area, wrote letters to walmart and said that it they wanted to shop at Target they would! We still have a fabric dept. Is just really small.
I hope it is true Walmart is bringing back their fabric dept. Only one Walmart around here still has the dept but the selection is not what it use to be in the past. The next thing around here is JoAnne's Fabrics, their prices are outragous. I use to sew new curtains using Walmart and it was still cheaper to make them. With JoAnne's prices it was about 3x's more then the curtains at the store.
Walmart is not my favroite store but in somethings you cannot beat the prices.
