This makes me want to check our eggs at home >.> Maybe pop over to walmart (even though I hate it and never go there) and check the dates on their cartons.... maybe bring some home >.>
In the Pacific Northwest is a chain called Fred Meyers. Last time I was there I've counted 7 different egg varieties of organic, free range, etc. I didn't even look at the other eggs they sell. I've been mentally toddling around with the idea to buy some and just put them into the incubator. Walmart's egg selection changes regionally too. Their new trend is not to offer more organic foods. Last time I've looked I've seen organic and free ranging boxes. Stay away from those big egg producing companies, because there you have zero chance of hatching anything. Also some eggs at Walmart are stocked by Walmart, others are stocked by vendors. The ones from the vendors are the organic and free ranging ones. They cost more, but have the better dates on the boxes too.
my incubator wont get up in heat and my lone little egg was getting chilled so first i stuck it in my bra (yes bra) then after serching for something warm because its time for bed and i toss and turn to much for an egg. i found it the toaster oven (set at 94-97°F) this eggs is not going to hatch first 3 Weeks in 2 different fridges (maybe more) then cool temps and now the toaster oven
I just popped some "Farm Fresh" Walmart eggs into the incubator with the rest of my hatching. Candling in a couple days and I'll let everyone know what happens. I only set 5. I ate the rest.
there was another lady on here just a few weeks ago that purchased eggs from here local grocery in the cooler and noticed on the carton it said they were fertilized so she tried it and hatched out I forget how many fuzzy butts SO IT works she had pics of eggs in purchaed carton all the way till hatch. she was in july hatch along i believe.
I buy eggs from the local chain store... The pack says they are "amish eggs" lol but I've never given it much thought (until recently!) Anyway, I'm *pretty sure* that they all have a bullseye! I've sont have an incubator yet so have no temptation... Plus what would I do with them once they hatch, lol...
