Okay as some may know my rooster died a few weeks ago, well the other day I went outside and there was a bantam rooster (I think) sitting outside my coop waiting for the girls to come out. I live within city limits! There is a house a few blocks away that has chickens and my DH went there to see if it was theirs, nobody was home so he left a note. Well nobody has showed up to claim him, and the next day a bantam hen showed up, maybe she was here the first day too and I didn't see her, who knows. My girls are full sized, will there be a problem between them? They are now going in the coop at night with the girls, the rooster has for 2 nights now and this was the first night the hen did, with no problems so far except the rooster is mean and keeps attacking my DH. I don't know what I should do. I have made arrangements to get me a new rooster, and how would the chicks look, bantam dad and a standard mom?! I am not sure what kind they are or anything. What do I do?
