She is a lovely colour. I have cared for a number of sight impared ducks over the years- and they can manage to adapt very well. Is this one your duck? Was she hatched with only one eye or did she have an injury?

I had a "one eyed duck" for a while. Loved her. She was the boss of the whole flock. Beautiful color on yours.

She is my duck. her name is beans. She hatched normal and all great. Last year when she was about 3 months old the whole flock was attacked by raccoons. She was the only survivor. We didn't know how long she would make it but here we are a year later. It healed nicely and now she has a saxony drake by her side all the time. They've had several babies and all is well

Very sad sweet story...

I just got a little call duck male with one eye. Beautiful bird and the kids favourite out of the bachelors pad. He finds many things hard tho.. seems to knock into the others and then gets a pecking for it.

He also navigates worse but I'm hoping with time he will settle in. He gets extra care from all of us and extra treats.

Any tips on 1) making the others be nice to him? They seem to not want him in there flock if that makes sense. And 2) any tips on making things easier? I've made all ramps bigger extra water and food source one which does not move from its location so he finds it easier and we put him.in the pool manually 5x a day as the others push him out of it a lot x

For one thing you should not even put a new duck with 2 good eyes in with a resident flock of ducks. They need to live side by side for a while to they all get use to the new guy.
They pick up real quick when one isn't like the rest so picking is always a problem, so after a few days you might try adding one of your most docile ducks in with your new call drake , then try another till all have visited with him for at least a day and night that actually may break up the dominance tier by the time they have gone in for a visit then let them all free range together always keeping an eye on your one eye boy that he gets back and can stay up with everyone. Maybe one of your resident ducks will even befriend him and help him find his way around.
