I have straight run
Blue Laced Red Wyandotte’s,
Easter Eggers,
Lavender Orpington’s,
Plymouth Barred Rocks,
Australorp x Lavendar Orpingtons

I want
Marans (not sure if I should get blue, black or splash)

A lady is selling Crest Swedish flower, Swedish Flower and Pastels. I’m interested but don’t know much about them.

Of all that I have, want and am interested in, can you tell me who I can breed with whom? I want to breed them, sell chicks, and sale eggs.

If you know of books or magazines that would benefit me as well, I would be interested. Thank you.

I would think if you want to sell chicks your best bet would be to breed purebreds (I would say pick whichever breed you like best); however there does seem to be reasonable demand for barnyard mixes (not sure if this is just covid thing as i don't sell myself-hopefully someone with more market knowledge will be along soon).

Another option would be to put your barred rock hens with a plain coloured rooster to get sex linked chicks- that way you'd know the barred babies were boys and the plain were girls which can be helpful if you have people only wanting hens.

In terms of egg sales this website lists a few breeds and likely egg production as well as egg colours: http://www.sagehenfarmlodi.com/chooks/chooks.html
If you want to sell rainbow eggs you could make your own olive eggers out of the easter eggers and a brown egg laying breed, but it might take a few test breedings as the easter eggers may not be pure for the blue egg laying gene. Hope that gives you something to start thinking about!
